Police probe case of 24-year-old found dead inside Male’ City guesthouse

Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation into the case of a young man found deceased inside a guesthouse in Male’ City.

Maldives Police Service says it received a call at approximately 4:30 am this Monday informing the agency of a young man being sent to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after he was found in poor health at the Victoria House Guesthouse in Maafannu district.

IGMH reports the young man, identified as a 24-year-old, was already deceased when brought in.

“The police are investigating as this involves some suspicious circumstances,” announced Maldives Police Service.

The agency declined to disclose any further details regarding the case.
