Water, sanitation project initiated at Hulhumale II

Construction work has been initiated to establish water and sanitation system in Phase II of the Hulhumale’ Development Project.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held this Thursday morning and was honored by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Speaking during the ceremony, Managing Director of Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), Adam Azim said that the installation of the system will be done by 2020.

The project was contracted to MWSC for USD 15 million.

The water and sanitation system in Hulhumale’ II is designed to serve 160,000 people.
