Shimna appointed Head of MNU Center for Educational and Technological Excellence

Shimna Shakeeb has been appointed as the Head of Maldives National University (MNU), Center for Educational and Technological Excellence (CETE).

A special event was held in MNU this Wednesday to hand over the appointment letter to Shimna.

Shimna started her career in the MNU in year 2014.

Shimna is now doing her PHD from Malaysian University of Science. She received her certificate of Masters in Higher Education and Bachelors of Arts in English Literature, Politics and Sociology from Australian, Mercury University.

With her new position of power, Shimna promises to work for the improvement and benefit of the University.

“We are working under 12 mandates. One is developing online or blended learning courses. Courses will be designed to international standard. Secondly, when delivering the online courses face to face, we want to check the standard of the courses and how the courses are being conducted. Thirdly we will be conducting researches on E-learning methods,” said Shimna.
