Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has launched a drawing competion for kids and students, on the occasion of celebrate World Water Day.
World Water Day is internationally observed every year on the 22nd of March.
The drawing competition named, "Water Heroes", launched on 22nd March, is a competition aimed to encourage kids to save water. Children from Pre-School to 12th grade can take part in the competition.
The competition is divided into six categories, and winners from each category will be awarded with cash prizes. The last date to apply for the competition is 25th April 2019.

The company has also launched a campaign "Iskurun Fen" to promote supply water as drinkable water, and also promote the importance of reducing water wastage.
Making sure that supply water is palatable and drinkable is one of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's first 100 day targets.
MWSC will also be conducting workshops in schools, to give children more information about water.
Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) last week declared that supply water by MWSC is fit for drinking, and also that it is the most clean tap water in the region.
