Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation following an act of vandalism involving fish blood being thrown on the steps of the Sh. Milandhoo Council headquarters in the late night hours of last Monday.
MPS says the incident was reported to the authority at 7 am this Tuesday.
The authority has launched an official investigation into the incident.
President of Milandhoo Council, Abdulla Faiz reports the fish blood is likely to have been thrown on the steps of the entry to the council headquarters sometime during the late night hours of last Monday.
Faiz said he doesn’t not know what prompted the action.
He said though the council headquarters is locked during the night, the outer gate is unlocked, making it accessible to anyone to enter the compound.
Some of the fish blood thrown on the steps had seeped under the doorway and into the building.
