2 teens injured in a fight in Hulhumale’

Two teenage boys injured in a fight in Hulhumale’ this Wednesday morning have been hospitalized at the Hulhumale’ Hospital.

Maldives Police Service has confirmed receiving reports of an incident of gang violence in Hulhumale’ this Wednesday, but declined to disclose any details.

Media official at Hulhumale’ Hospital, Asiya Solih identified the victims as two 17-year-old boys; one from Addu City and the other from G. Dh. Rathafandhoo.

Asiya reports the teenager from Rathafandhoo is in critical condition and being treated at the hospital’s emergency room.

The other, the teenager from Addu City, sustained only minor injuries and is being treated at the hospital’s dressing room.

The latest fight comes less than two days after two young men were injured in two separate fights in Hulhumale’, on January 14.

The two young man sustained only minor injuries, and were discharged from the hospital after treatment.
