Car crashes through outer walls of mosque in Eydhafushi

A car lost control and crashed through the outer walls and into the compound of a mosque in B. Eydhafushi this Wednesday morning.

Vice President of Eydhafushi Council, Hawwa Sameeha reported to ‘Sun’ the accident took place when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

“The wall of the mosque caved in and the car went into the mosque in the accident,” said Sameeha.

The accident did not result in any casualties, but the front of the car sustained heavy damages.

Maldives Police Service says the accident took place at 10:45 am, but declined to disclose any details.
