NRP is founded by Sheikh Mohamed Didi, a former council member of Adhaalath Party (AP) who pledged allegiance to former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration and even joined the former ruling party Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) after AP parted ways with the former administration.
NRP filed for permission from EC last Thursday.
