President-elect returns after Umrah pilgrimage

President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) returned to Maldives after his trip to Saudi Arabia for an Umrah pilgrimage last Friday night.

In addition to performing the Umrah pilgrimage, Solih also met with senior officials of the Saudi Arabian government and met with Maldivian students at Saudi Arabia.

Solih travelled to Saudi on a private jet arranged by the Saudi government.

He was accompanied on the trip by his spouse – Fazna Ahmed, Speaker of People’s Majlis Qasim Ibrahim, and Deputy Leader of Adhaalath Party Ali Zahir.
