Sensory Room established at Hulhumale’ Children’s Center

At a ceremony held at the Children's Center today, the Sensory Room was officially inaugurated by the UNICEF Mohamed El Munir A. Safieldin,

The sensory room is especially designed to develop the children's senses through special lighting, textures, sensory textile mats, and toys.

The room was built with assistance from the Zalina Studio.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Minister of Gender and Family, Zenisha Shaheed Zaki, said that the Children’s Center was developed for the children with physical and mental disabilities among those in the care of the state.

The Children’s Center in Hulhumale’ also has a Special Needs Consultant on hand.
