Fatal stabbing in Male' City

A young man has been attacked with a sharp object and killed near the Maldives Monetary Building (MMA) in Male' City. 

Sources have said that the victim of the attack was 19-year-old Ibrahim Aagil from Gaafu Dhaalu Faresmathoda, and he was stabbed in the neck. 

Managing Director of ADK Hospital, Ahmed Affaal told Sun Media last night that the victim was dead on arrival. 

Police have also confirmed the stabbing saying that the attack is being investigated. No further details were offered. 

Stabbings have gone up in Hulhumale' and Male' City in the past few weeks. Last week, a man was attack and injured with an axe.
