The Elections Commission has made the decision not to publish photos of voters on their copies of the Voters List.

EC has used lists with photos of voters during all past elections. And the copies of the Voters List displayed at all election centers also had photos of the voters, along with their ID card numbers and addresses.

EC announced in a tweet this Wednesday that it has decided against using photos on their copies of the Voters List for the upcoming Presidential Elections.

The commission has however made no comment on the Voters List displayed at election centers.

Presidential Elections 2018 will be held on September 23.

The final Voters List has now been published by EC, and the commission reports it will open application for presidential candidates by end of July.
