Adhurey: People taking part in the current rallies are against Islam

Vice President of PPM, Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey) has said that the people taking part in the current anti-government protest rallies are those that stand against the Islamic faith.

Speaking at a PPM press conference today, Adhurey advised the public not to join the efforts to bring other faiths to the Maldives. He said that the people who join the rallies now being planned by MDP are those against the religion.

Adhurey said that it is embarrassing and sad to see Maldivians applauding the EU resolution yesterday calling to allow for other faiths in the Maldives and to put an end to the efforts to implement the death sentence.

He said that all the victories achieved by the Maldives so far are rooted in the Islamic faith. And even if the foreign aids were cut off, another faith cannot be allowed in the Maldives.
