Maldives Police Service has said that there are six people in their custody following the protested rallis this past weekend.
In a tweet sent out today, Police said that the rumors that say there are a large number of people in police custody are not accurate.
Police said that they had 5 men in custody that was arrested at the opposition rally on Friday, all charged with obstruction of police duties.
The police tweet, however, did not say as to what the total number nor did they make any comments on their remand status.
Attempts to get further comments have been unsuccessful as the Spokesperson, Superintendent Shifan asked to contact later.
