Owner contacts missing boat

A fishing boat that went missing off the cost of Alif Dhaalu Maamigili on Tuesday, has been contacted.

The owner of Shabnam boat said he was able to contact the boat through a satphone around 9:50 p.m. on Friday night, said the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). All crew are fine and no distress was reported from the boat, said MNDF.
