MNDF takes over Minister Ihusan’s security

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has taken over Home Minister Ali Ihusan’s security following a threat assessment.   Normally, the security of government ministers is overseen by a special team within Maldives Police Service. Speaking with Sun on Tuesday, Home Ministry’s Spokesperson Fathimath Rifaath said MNDF took over Minister Ihusan’s security after a threat assessment which indicated that there was high risk.
