The 'Ihusaas' exhibition, showcasing the works of the esteemed artist Abdullah Faiz, commenced this Tuesday evening.
The collection features paintings that encapsulate the diverse landscapes of the nation, illustrating both its historical and contemporary essence.
The inauguration of the 'Ihusaas' exhibition was inaugurated by Mohamed Mauroof Jameel, former Managing Director of the Housing Development Corporation, during a ceremony held at the National Art Gallery this Tuesday evening. Mauroof Jameel, a distinguished architect himself, is also recognized for his notable artistic contributions.
During the event, Faiz articulated that art maintains a direct correlation with human emotions, and this exhibition serves as a testament to his diligent efforts.
Faiz remarked, "Art facilitates a reinterpretation of the world through multifaceted perspectives."
Regarding the attendees of his exhibition, Faiz conveyed his aspiration that they discern the profound emotional depth conveyed through the meticulous application of color and brushstroke in each individual painting.
The exhibition includes paintings from several regional countries, all rendered in the 'impressionist' style.
Comprising approximately 50 paintings, the exhibition, which began on Tuesday evening, will remain accessible to the public until August 16th.
The exhibition hours are scheduled from Saturday to Thursday, 14:30 to 22:30, and on Fridays, 16:00 to 22:30.
The displayed paintings will be available for public viewing and purchase.
Faiz has demonstrated a passion for drawing since childhood. However, it was only recently that he started holding exhibitions to showcase his paintings to the public. As such, Faiz’s first exhibition was held in July, 2023.
That exhibition, which opened under the name of Journey, showcased Faiz's skills and uniqueness. It literally showcased his passion and love for archeology and history.
