Miral sets Maldives’ 200m medley record

Miral Ain Latheef has set a new national record in the women’s 200-meter individual medley event.

At the 22nd World Aquatics Championship, currently underway in Singapore, Miral achieved this record with a race time of 02:44.3.

Miral’s national record in the women’s 200-meter individual medley has now been updated, breaking the previous record held by Amna Thazkiya Mirshad (Tazki). Tazki set the prior record of 02:45.93 at the 2023 Indian Ocean Island Games. Miral’s new time marks a significant achievement for Maldivian swimming.
