The two expatriates who sustained serious burns following an explosion on board a vessel in the AA. Maalhos lagoon on Saturday have bee transferred to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), where they are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
The explosion was reported to the police at around 08:45 pm Saturday.
The two expatriates injured in the incident were initially treated at the Maalhos Health Center, before being transferred to Male’ for further treatment.
A spokesperson from IGMH told Sun on Sunday afternoon that that they are being treated in the hospital’s ICU.
But he declined to disclose any details.
The Maalhos Council has been unavailable for comment regarding the incident.
