Maldives nominated for two prestigious titles at Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards

The Maldives has been nominated for two prestigious titles at the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2025, organized by the UK’s most widely circulated and longest-running travel magazine.

This year, the Maldives is shortlisted for:

• Most Desirable Country – Worldwide
• Most Desirable Island(s) – Worldwide

The Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards are among the most respected accolades in the global travel industry, with winners chosen entirely by public vote.

Voting is open until October 17.

The Maldives’ tourism promotion board, Visit Maldives has invited voters to support the island destination in both categories.

“Your vote can help reaffirm the Maldives’ standing as one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations. Please share this link with your networks and help us bring home these prestigious titles,” invited the Visit Maldives.

In 2024, Sri Lanka took home the title of Most Desirable Country – Worldwide, showing the strong presence South Asian destinations hold in the hearts of UK travelers.
