Sun Siyam Group has successfully concluded its blood donation camp for this year, which kicked off on the occasion of the group's 35th anniversary.

Sun Siyam Resorts celebrates its anniversary on May 8 each year. The group launched its blood donation camp years back to commemorate its anniversary while positively contributing towards the community.

A total of six events were held under this year's blood donation camp, with the last of these held at Hulhumale' on Saturday, June 28.

Sun Siyam Group runs these camps with the collaboration of Maldivian Blood Services (MBS).

Similar to previous years, the camp was well received this year as well attracting more than hundreds of the group's employees.

The coordinator of the anniversary blood donation camp, Azza Hameed highlighted that this year blood donation events were held across all of the Sun Siyam Resorts' properties. While pointing out to the strong reception of the camp, Hameed further clarified that the number of donors increased year-on-year, indicating the highest number of participants this year.

She further stressed the prioritization of the group's chairman and Managing Director of Sun Siyam Resorts, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, towards enhancing blood donation to positively contribute to the society.

Hameed assured a similar camp will be held next year, commemorating the group's anniversary.

Senior Consultant of MBS, Dr. Fathimath Nadhiya, while speaking with Sun Online regarding the camp, acknowledged Sun Siyam Group have been holding the camp for several years and had thanked the group's for its continued support towards local thalassaemia patients.

Dr. Nadhiya also pointed how the importance of such camps towards safeguarding the lives of thalassaemia patients and enriching their lives, and urged donors to contribute habitually.

Sun Siyam Group is listed among the most frequent collaborators with MBS in contributing to the local thalassaemia community in the last five years with a blood donation camp held every year.

This year's blood donation camp's events were held across multiple Sun Siyam Resorts properties that kicked off with Olhu Veli.
