The Maldives Zakat House has spent a total of MVR 1.52 million during the first fourt months of 2025 on cancer patients, it said.
The authority released its most recent statistics dated from January until April's end, which provided a detailed breakdown of the extended aid to people. As per statistics, Zakat House extended financial support to a total of 370 individuals during the first four months.
Zakat House provided financial support the most towards other ailments, and second most for cancer patients, at MVR 2.95 million and MVR 1.52 million respectively.
