Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) held a beach cleanup event in Lh. Naifaru on Saturday, collecting thousands of kilos of waste.
MIB said the cleanup event received huge support from the local community, with the bank’s staff joined by multiple local organizations and residents.
Participants collected 3,000 kilos of waste from the island’s beach, most of which was plastic waste.

The bank plans on recycling the plastic bottles collected in the event.
MIB expanded its services to Naifaru in December last year, with a 24/7 service center.
MIB, the country’s first full-fledged Islamic bank, said it is committed to offering the latest banking solutions.
