Male’ warehouse burns down in massive blaze

A warehouse located in Male’ City burned down on Thursday morning, after a massive fire broke out in the building.

According to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), the fire broke out at the warehouse of Fruit Tree Apple – a fruit and vegetable shop located in the busy Majeedhee Magu.

The fire was reported to the MNDF at around 04:20 am.

According to the MNDF, firefighters were immediately deployed to the area and managed to control the blaze at around 05:20 am. The fire was completely put out a half hour later at around 06:00 am.

The MNDF said that the fire did not result in any injuries.

However, the warehouse burned beyond use.
