Man arrested for beating wife granted conditional release

A man arrested on suspicion of beating his wife has been granted conditional release by the Criminal Court.

The 32-year-old man was granted conditional release during his remand hearing on Saturday.

According to court documents, the violence stemmed from a domestic dispute between the couple.

In granting conditional release, the court cited that the Family Court had issued an emergency protective order for the woman against her husband following the incident.

It also cited that the suspect is employed and needs to support two children.
