Child molester receives life sentence

An individual, who was in a position of trust, has been sentenced to life by the Criminal Court for molesting a minor.

Criminal Court sentenced one Nasrulla Faiz for the offence, and were pressed with three criminal charges which are:

Possession of pornographic content

Touching a minor with sexual intent

Sexual abuse of a minor while the individual holds a position of trust from the minor

For the offence of touching a minor with sexual intent, the Criminal Court sentenced him to jail for 10 years and another 15 years in jail for the offence of sexual abuse of a minor while the individual holds a position of trust.

While he was convicted of these two counts, he was not convicted of possession of pornographic content owing to lack of sufficient evidence to prove it.

The case was filed at the court on December 17, 2020. The court did not provide additional details about the case due to the involvement of a minor.
