MIFCO’s chairman shifted to fisheries promotion company

Ahmed Shareef who was serving as the chairman of MIFCO shifted as the chairman of Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation (MFORMPC).

Ahmed Shareef, who was serving as the chairman of the state fisheries company, Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFC), has been reassigned as the chairman of the Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation (MFORMPC).

Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), on Monday, confirmed Ahmed Shareef's dismissal MIFCO’s chairman and subsequent reaasingment as the chairperson of MFORMPC.

MFORMPC was incepted as a 100 percent state-owned company back in February for the purpose of promoting and marketing Maldives’ fisheries industry.

A managing director and four board members have been appointed to the company so far. They are:

Managing Director: Ahmed Zareer

Board member: Munshidha Ibrahim

Board member: Ahmed Shifaz

Board member: Ahmed Yameen

Board member: Adam Manik
