Tree Top Hospital has awarded scholarships to four students to undergo training as nurses.
The scholarships were awarded in a ceremony held at TTH on Sunday by the hospital’s Director of Nursing Susan Herbert.
The four students were selected out of total 15 who applied for the scholarship opportunities.
At Sunday’s ceremony, TTH's CEO Dr. Srivatsan Sridhar described the scholarships as an investment in human resource development in the health sector.
He expressed hopes the students will provide valuable services to the Maldivian health sector upon completing their training.
TTH launched its nursing scholarship program in 2021. Since then, 15 nurses have training under the program, seven of whom are currently working in the hospital.
Since its establishment in 2018, TTH has consistently strived to be at the forefront of Maldivian healthcare. By introducing innovative procedures and services, the hospital aims to minimize the need for Maldivian citizens to seek treatment overseas, ultimately reducing healthcare costs. This dedication is fueled by a team of highly-qualified and experienced doctors, led by renowned specialists in various medical fields, all supported by cutting-edge technology and laboratories.
