BML announces winners of Waste Management Grant Project

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, has announced the winners of its Waste Management Grant Project, an initiative to support improvement of waste management practices across the nation.

Under this project, the bank will provide access to funding to purchase equipment for waste management facilities.

In this regard, the two recipients of the grant are:

1. Live and Learn Environmental Education Maldives

Equipment: Three Glass Crusher Machines

Locations: K. Gaafaru, AA. Ukulhas and ADh. Dhigurah

2. Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)

Equipment: One Glass Crusher Machine and One Baler

Location: Hulhumale’

As per BML, its investment in waste management is aimed at reducing landfill waste and promoting efficient recycling processes, in alignment with the bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable communities and protecting the environment.
