A Maldivian has been found dead at a hotel in India’s Bangalore.
According to Indian media, 43-year-old Maldivian man, Hussain Suhail, was found dead in a hotel room at RT Nagar area, in northern Bangalore.
Citing the Police, Indian news outlet Deccan Herald reported that Suhail is suspected to have died from a cardiac arrest.
Preliminary investigations showed that Suhail arrived in Bangalore from the Maldives on Sunday, November 10th and checked into a hotel in RT Nagar. He was last seen on the evening of Tuesday, November 12th.
In this regard, Suhail did not leave his hotel room after Tuesday. The hotel staff called the police helpline after Suhail failed to open the door on Wednesday, November 13th.
Deccan Herald detailed that the Police arrived at the hotel soon after the call and opened the room with a spare key upon which they found Suhail unconscious with vomit all over the floor.
The Police have transported Suhail’d body to Ramaiah Hospital’s mortuary. Deccan Herald, citing the Police, said a post-mortem will only be conducted after his family arrives and gives consent.
It was noted that RT Nagar police had notified the Maldivian High Commission and Immigration Office of the death.
Suhail was due to return to the Maldives on Friday after also traveling to Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai.
