Man injured by a falling window from a house

A man was injured by a falling window from a house in Male’ City.

In a message to the media, the Police said the incident took place at Jahaamuguri Goalhi. In this regard, the authority said they received a report of a window falling from the sixth floor of the house located in the road at approximately 19:12pm tonight.

Police said a Maldivian man who was parking his motorbike was injured. They detailed that the man was injured as shattered glass from the window got on him.

He is currently being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The incident is under investigation by the Police.

Windows of many houses in Male’ face the street. There is no way to protect oneself if a window were to fall over.
