Seizure of 106 alcohol bottles from a car: Foreigner arrested

Police have arrested a foreigner in connection to the case involving the seizure of 106 alcohol bottles from a car.

The suspect has been identified as Rasul Ula Ridhoy, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national.

The incident took place in the early hours of Friday.

As per the Police, a group of people that were near a car at Bodufulhah Goalhi in Male’ City in the early hours of Friday morning abandoned the car and fled the scene upon spotting officers who were passing by.

Police searched the car due to suspicions and uncovered 106 alcohol bottles.

They noted that the foreigner arrested in connection to the case has been remanded in custody for 15 days by the Criminal Court.

The case is under investigation by the Police.

Notably, Police arrested a foreigner with 144 beer cans on Tuesday.
