Police probe father molesting two daughters and an additional girl

Maldives Police Service has launched a probe into a case involving a father molesting two of his daughters and an additional girl in Male’ City.

In a message to the media on Sunday, Police said a case allegedly involving a father molesting two of his daughters and an additional girl, who is a relative, was reported to the authority in the early hours of the day.

A 42-year-old Maldivian man has been arrested in connection to the case under a court order which is currently being investigation by the Police.

Police, on Saturday, also confirmed they were probing a sexual abuse case of a minor.

As per statistics released by the Police, a total of 238 sexual misconduct cases have been reported to the authority so far this year.
