Two buses collide in an accident near Vinares flats

Two MTCC buses collided in an accident near Vinares flats in Hulhumale’ Phase II on Monday evening.

A Police Spokesperson said an accident involving the collision between two MTCC buses was reported to the authority moments earlier.

The Spokesperson confirmed that no one was injured in the accident.

The reason behind the collision remains unknown at this time.

The past few days saw several dangerous road accidents in Male’ and Hulhumale’. On Wednesday, a 21-year-old male was injured in a collision between a car and motorbike in Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Male’ City. He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday while being treated at IGMH.

On early Friday, a 23-year-old male died after a speeding car crashed into him as he was driving his motorcycle near Central Park in Hulhumale’.

Three accidents were recorded on Saturday and Sunday that left a total of six people injured to various extents.

On July 30^th, an out-of-control race car crashed into a parked motorbike near Vinares flats throwing a man on the motorbike into the air following the impact that saw him sustain serious injuries.

Following the accidents, Police have increased their presence on roads to ensure safety.
