Multiple islands in the Maldives, including the capital Male’ City, were affected by extensive flooding due to torrential rain and thunderstorms last month.
The bad weather was triggered by an active Southwest Monsoon, locally known as the Hulhuangu Monsoon.
Weather forecasters expect the Hulhangu Monsoon to last until December.
