Foreign Minister departs on official visit to UAE

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, on Monday departed on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The minister is traveling to UAE on the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During this visit, the minister will engage in high-level discussions with the Sheikh Al Nahyan and other senior officials of the UAE government.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announcing Zameer’s official trip, said the visit is an important step forward in strengthening bilateral tries between the two countries.

Minister Zameer is accompanied by the Ambassador-at-Large, Ahmed Naseer; Secretary, Bilateral, Dr. Hala Hameed; and Joint Secretary, Mariyam Reesha.

In August, Zameer had also made an official visit to Saudi Arabia as well.
