HDC gives 7-day period to shift vessels from Thilafushi channel

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has demanded vessel clearance from Thilafushi channel to commence sloping works ahead of land reclamation in the area.

In a statement, HDC demanded vessels berthed in specified areas on the chart, shared with the statement, be removed within seven days.

If vessels are not cleared from the specified areas during this period, HDC will comply with the "Procedural guideline for the vessels and assets in Thilafushi channel" when dealing with these vessels.

HDC requested to contact them on their 1516 hotline for inquiries related to this. It also urged cooperation from relevant stakeholders with the efforts since the Thilafushi reclamation initiative is aimed at creating opportunities for businesses.
