Family regains contact with young man days after reported missing

The family of a young man reported missing from Male’ has regained contact with him, days after filing a missing persons report with the police.

The police released the picture of Ahmed Anil Mohamed, 23, Kinaaraage, HDh. Kulhudhuffushi, on Saturday night, seeking the public’s help to find him.  

According to the police, the family last heard from him via phone call on Thursday morning.

The police announced on Monday that the family had reported that they had regained contact with him, and that he was well.

They did not comment on the circumstances of his disappearance.

Though originally from Kulhudhuffushi, Anil was reported missing from Male’, where he currently resides.
