Significant changes have been made to the directors' boards of multiple state-owned enterprises (SOEs) last Thursday.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), the watchdog of SOEs, made changes to the following corporations:
Mohamed Rasheed (M. Hanifaru, Male') and Hamid Sodiq (Alihiyaage, Lh. Naifaru) have been removed from the HDFC board while Zidna Ibrahim (Jamna, S. Hulhudhoo) has been appointed to the corporation's board.
Mohamed Abdulla (Miyalanige, B. Maalhos) was removed as Chairman of Post's Board, along with board member Mohamed Nashid (Kanmathige, Th. Kinbidhoo).
Hawwa Safna (H. Vaifilaage, Male') has been appointed to the company's board.
Three board members from Addu International Airport Pvt Ltd that include, Shathif Ali (Nookokaage, S. Feydhoo), Shazra Zakir (Moon Light, S. Feydhoo), and Hussain Mohamed Didi (Male' Dhaftharu 4286), have been removed as well.
Additionally, two members from BCC and one from Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) were removed, as was the Chairperson of Fenaka Corporation, Ahmed Shaheer.
Besides this, one executive member and five other members of Fenaka Corporation were dismissed as well.
The chairperson of SDFC, Shuhad Ibrahim (Male' Dhaftharu 3555), was removed from the board, while one board member from both the Police Welfare Corporation and TradeNet Maldives was dismissed as well.
The directors' board and executive committee of SOEs have undergone significant changes since the new administration came to power.
