Fenaka Corporation’s chairperson and two members have been dismissed from their posts on Thursday.
The company’s managing director Muaz Mohamed Rasheed confirmed the dismissal to Sun. In this regard, he said Ahmed Shaheer, who had been serving as the company’s chairperson and Ahmed Ihab and Ibrahim Naaif, who were serving as board members were dismissed yesterday.
Muaz said the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has served them their notice of dismissal. However, he did not close the details behind their dismissal.
Shaheer had served as State Trading Organization (STO)’s managing director during former president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom’s administration.
Fenaka has recently taken various measures to improve the operations of the company. This includes their decision against renewing the contract of temporary staff hired for construction projects.
