Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) has announced the appointment of individuals to several committees and councils included in its operational framework.
In this regard, appointments were made to six committees and councils which are as follows:
Besides these appointments, Abbas was also announced as the party’s Spokesperson.
Notably, MDA held inter-party discussions on July 3rd seeking ways to increase party membership in line with its target to become a prominent political party in the Maldivian political scene and strengthen its operations.
The discussions took place during a meeting of the party’s Policy and Development Council – which marked the first meeting held with the participation of the newly elected members of the council.
MDA is currently the fourth largest political party in the Maldives with two of its members sitting in the parliament; MDA’s leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed who serves as the Parliamentary Representative for Meedhoo constituency and Abbas.
