3 Island Tour by Bike Maldives begins

The "3 Island Tour" organized by Bike Maldives commenced on Saturday.

According to the General Secretary of Bicycle Association of Maldives, Asma Hassan, this year's tour will take place in Thulusdhoo, Himmafushi, and Huraa of Kaafu atoll.

With 20 children, a total of 40 cyclists will be taking part in the tour that kicked off on Saturday morning.

The main objective of the tour, according to Asma, is to provide the opportunity for cycle enthusiasts and encourage the children to foster strong relations with local communities and instill ideal habits in them.

The tour also aims to create awareness among the children on the safety measures in cycling.

Bicycle Association of Maldives organizes the tour each year, with young cycling enthusiasts anticipating the tour every year.

While this year's tour will be taking place in three Kaafu atoll residential islands, the tour was held in Crossroads Maldives and Kudagiri Picnic Island last year.

The association highlighted the support by the local council authorities of this year's tour islands, and extended their gratitude to the authorities.

Additionally, the association thanked Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for assisting them logistically.
