MET forecasts increased rainfall in second quarter

Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) has forecast seasonal rainfall from June onwards to September 2024.

The weather forecast authority reported the seasonal rainfall for this period is "likely to be above normal over the central and northern part of the country" and below normal rainfall over the south.

MET Office also reported that the maximum and minimum temperatures are "likely to be above normal" across the Maldives during this period as well.
