Ministry begins accepting proposals to collaborate for Eid celebrations

Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage has begun accepting proposals from islands that wish to collaborate with the Ministry for this year’s Eid al-Adha festivities

The Ministry, in an announcement on Thursday, said they will be commemorating this year’s Eid al-Adha at three islands. The three islands will be chosen based on the three best proposals received by the Ministry.  

In evaluating the proposals, the Ministry said they will be considering the events that will be held on the island, the expenses borne by the council, and the arrangements that the island will make the festivities free-of-charge.

The Ministry has instructed interested islands to email their proposals by 1:00pm on May 9^th.
