MPL clears over 2,200 containers on last 10 of March

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) reports clearing over 2,200 containers from March 21st to March 31st, 2024.

According to the authority, it had cleared a total of 2,218 containers for the last 10 days of the preceding month. The total clearance includes 922 units of 20-feet containers and 648 units of 40-feet containers.

Statistics from MPL further confirm the top cleared and moved items, which include eggs, watermelon, and potatoes.

Top Cleared Goods (from March 21st - 31st)

  1. Eggs - 19,715 cartons
  2. Watermelon - 15,059 bags
  3. Potatoes - 6,908 bags
  4. Tomatoes - 5,584 crates
  5. Cabbage - 4,586 bags
