Maldivian pilgrim missing in Mecca

A middle-aged Maldivian man who travelled to Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage has been reported missing.

Mohamed Thakkan, Havaa, S. Meedhoo, travelled to Saudi Arabia as part of a tour group from Nimsa Lil Hajj Wal Umra Group, to perform the Umrah pilgrimage in the last 15 days of Ramadan.

He went missing after going to Masjid al-Haram in Mecca for the Fajr prayer on Wednesday.

Nimsa Lil Hajj Wal Umra Group has asked for assistance from all other tour groups and Maldivians in Saudi Arabia to locate the missing pilgrim.
