Police issue manhunt on fraud suspect

Maldives Police Service issues manhunt on local man suspected of fraud and misrepresentation.

The law enforcement authority shared an image of the man on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesay morning, requesting the public to assist in finding him.

The authority said the suspect may have ties to an ongoing investigation of fraud and misrepresentation. 

Police added the authority has failed to identify the individual, and requests public to come forward with any credible information about the man, and contact on its investigation department number on 9980062.

Scams, fraudulent practices and misrepresentation have been increasing more significantly in recent months.
