Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) has installed the first doodle board under the "Finance Doodle Board for Students" initiative, at Ghiyasuddin International School.

The "Finance Doodle Board for Students" is a series initiated by MPAO with the aim of improving financial literacy among students, and create awareness among them towards crucial financial principles and practices.

MPAO CEO Sujatha Haleem inaugurated the doodle board at a special assembly held in GIS.

The office opted for doodle boards in the financial literacy program since the medium is popular among children to express their ideas.

The initiative also serves the purpose of creating interest among students towards personal finance management and saving money for later use. MPAO believes disseminating crucial information via doodle or similar interactive medium will help children to retain the knowledge in long-term memory.

After the special assembly, students of grades six and seven created doodles on sticky notes to paste on the doodle board, which MPAO will digitalize.

MPAO has extended participation in the initiative to all the schools as well, and added that the best doodle board will be receive a prize.

Interested schools are required to fill the MPAO's application form for the program. Boards will be installed afterwards, with information provided to students on their role in producing doodle artwork for the board.

The pension office will also extend assistance in installing the boards for the first five schools requesting participation.
