Home Ministry’s website hacked

Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology’s official website has been hacked.

A photo on the website’s homepage states the website has been hacked by an Indian hacker group – Cyber Force – in response to Maldives’ anti-India actions.

The photo contains a message suggesting Maldives’ “ungratefulness” despite help from India in the past.

Other pages and links on the website are however accessible.

Official websites of several government authorities and courts have been hacked recently.

As per the hackers, this was prompted by the derogatory remarks made by three deputy ministers against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media platform X, in response to a video promoting tourism in Lakshadweep.
