Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) launched its bi-annual visionary forum, ‘Takeoff 2024’ on Tuesday, marking a significate milestone in shaping the future of country’s main airport, Velana International Airport (VIA).

According to MACL, the main purpose of ‘Takeoff 2024’ is to provide clarity through the sharing of departmental focus and aligning collective strategies to achieve company’s ambitious goals for the year 2024.

The two-day event at Crossroads Maldives was inaugurated by MACL’s Managing Director and CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. MACL’s Deputy Managing Directors, Division Heads, Department Heads and the Section Heads also joined the forum - dedicated to fostering collaboration and strategic alignment within the organization.

Addressing the senior management, Shareef emphasized the imperative need for swift adaptation and foresight to navigate the evolving landscape of the air travel industry.

“Obsessively focusing on the short-term goals might cause us to lose our future. Companies fail due to a lack of foresight,” he said.

MACL will hold the second session of this bi-annual forum to conclude the year 2024.
